What is document automation?

How Do Vasion Automate and PrinterLogic Work Together?

They're two halves of the same platform. PrinterLogic handles your print environment including devices, drivers, queues, and output jobs. Vasion Automate handles what happens to documents inside it, picking up the moment they leave the print dialog.

That handoff happens through File > Print. The same action your team already uses every day becomes the on-ramp to agentic automation—routing documents into workflows, sending them for signature, or archiving them automatically. There’s no separate implementation or new system to stand up alongside what you've already deployed.

What Is Intelligent Document Processing (IDP)?

IDP is an AI-powered step you can add to any workflow. When a document reaches that step, IDP automatically classifies what type of document it is, extracts field-level data, scores confidence in that extraction, and routes low-confidence results to a human review queue, so nothing slips through without a check.

What are the different ways to get a document into Vasion Automate?Documents can enter Vasion Automate from multiple ingestion points, including:

Print: From the File > Print dialog, documents can route into a preconfigured workflow, sent for an eSignature, or be archived automatically, without changing how your team already works
Scan: Route scanned documents from any MFP directly into a preconfigured workflow or storage folders
Forms: A completed digital or PDF form submission can trigger a workflow automatically, no manual handoff required
Upload: Documents can be uploaded directly into Vasion Automate to kick off a workflow or land in storage

What Is VAI and How Can I Use It With Vasion Automate?

VAI (Vasion Artificial Intelligence) is your integrated AI assistant powered by specialized agents that help you build and manage automations across print, forms, and workflows.

Forms Agent: Describe the form you need and VAI builds it. Tell it what fields and logic you want, and it generates the form for you to review before pushing it live.
Enhanced Form Results: Ask VAI for summaries, trends, and insights from your form responses in plain language: instead of manually reviewing every submission yourself.
Print Agent: Let VAI do the heavy lifting by quickly updating printer names, locations, and settings across thousands of devices all with a few clicks.
Agent Workflow Step: Add VAI as a step inside any workflow to handle cognitive tasks including summarizing data, extracting information, or making a routing decision.
AI Auto Zoning: When preparing a document for signature, let VAI detect signature, initials, date, and text fields automatically and place them based on document content.

What if our company already has a storage solution?

Vasion Automate can easily connect to additional third-party storage solutions you have in place including OneDrive, SharePoint, or Google Drive and be leveraged in tandem or on its own. With Vasion Automate, all files can be encrypted both in transit and at rest, as well as automatically managing the backup process.
